CEO of Glencoe Advisory – Cameroun
In the mid-90s, Serge Esso is a holder of a Master’s degree in International Business Law, a Master’s degree in Tax Law and a DESS (post-graduate diploma) in International Trade Law/Export Law in Paris-1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
After working in the Legal Department of the Bolloré Group in Puteaux, he returned to Africa in 1999 as a Tax Lawyer with PricewaterhouseCoopers, in charge of developing the Equatorial Guinean market in the midst of the oil boom, which he did with great success. He then joined the Cameroonian railway company CAMRAIL where he managed the Human Resources Department.
Years later, he covered the legal and tax activities of the Shell oil group for 16 countries in Central and West Africa;
He then changed sectors and joined AES-SONEL in the electric energy sector. He was inn charge of the « Business Law » division of the Legal Department, he managed all national and international contracts.
He was appointed General Manager Corporate Services of MTN Cameroon.
Faced with the existing labyrinth between potential investors and the countries of destination of these investments, he founded the firm GLENCOE ADVISORY, specialised in institutional advice to international investors, with the aim of bringing international projects to fruition in Africa and facilitating the activities of multinationals vis-à-vis of the public authorities.
In its three years of existence, the firm now has numerous clients and partners across Africa.
